Our Mission

King’s Church exists to make disciples of Jesus in Wilmington, at UNCW, and to the end of the earth.

We are here to see lives changed, lostness decrease, communities renewed, and the gospel advanced everywhere. From campus to city to the ends of the earth, we are committed to following Jesus and sending others to do the same.

Meet Our Team

Justin Leitch  

Pastor 

Justin grew up in Wilmington, NC, and was saved through the ministry of the Summit Church while at NC State as a college student. After graduating from NC State with a BS in Mechanical Engineering, Justin worked for Summit College at NC State for four years while getting his M.Div. in Christian Ministry from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. In April 2018, Justin and his wife Bailey moved to Charlottesville, VA, to plant Center Church. Justin served in several executive leadership and pastoral roles at Center from its inception with about 50 people in 2018 through its growth to around 700 people in 2025 when transitioning to plant King's Church in Wilmington, NC. 

Justin is married to Bailey, who first met in elementary school in Wilmington, NC. They married in October of 2014 and now have three kids: Sam, Corrie, and Lydia.

Conor Osepchuk  

Pastor 

Conor grew up in Charlotte, NC, and his path to becoming a Staff Pastor at King's Church began when he started following Jesus in high school through the ministry of Young Life. After graduating from NC State, Conor worked on staff at The Summit Church in college ministry at NC State for four years, overlapping with Justin for two. He earned his M.Div. in Christian Ministry from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary during that time. Shortly after graduating from Seminary, he was called to be the College Pastor at Shandon Baptist Church in Columbia, SC. He will hold this role until 2025, when he will transition to plant King's Church in Wilmington, NC. 

Conor is married to Kelsey, and they first met during their freshman year of college at NC State. They married in June 2016 and are now proud parents of two children: Anna and Jack.

John Baker  

King’s College Director 

John Baker came to Christ through the ministry of Summit College at NC State. After graduating with a degree in Physics and working in the industry for a couple of years, John re-entered the ministry and is the current Summit College NC State Campus Director. He and his wife, Austin, have two kids: Eden and Hayes.

Our Beliefs

We believe in God the Father. He is the author and creator of the universe.

We believe in God the Son, Jesus Christ, the eternal Word, the one and only Savior. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary, both fully human and fully divine, lived a sinless life, suffered and was crucified as an atonement for sin, rose again bodily from the dead on the third day, ascended into Heaven, and one day will return in victory to rule forever.

We believe in the Holy Spirit. He convicts of sin, draws us to repentance, indwells every Christian, helps us in our weakness, intercedes for us in prayer, and empowers us to a victorious Christian life.

That man, created by God, willfully sinned against God and is consequently lost and without hope apart from Jesus Christ.

That salvation—the forgiveness of sins—is only by grace through the shed blood of Jesus Christ on the cross once and for all.

That anyone can receive salvation by putting faith in Christ, repenting of sin, and making Him Lord of one’s life.

That the Bible commands every believer in Christ to be baptized as an outward proclamation and symbol of the inward transformation that has already taken place.

That those who have received salvation are now disciples of Jesus—someone who is becoming more like Jesus and leading others to do the same.

That every disciple of Jesus is sent into the world to be the good news of Jesus in every place.

We believe God inspired the original writings of the Scripture and those original writings were consequently without error.

We believe that the Bible is the final authority for all matters of faith, truth, morality, and Christian living.

We believe the Bible teaches that God is the Creator and Sustainer of human life. God creates each person in His image, and life is therefore sacred, from conception to natural death. We believe that God creates each person as male or female, that these two distinct, complementary genders together reflect the "image of God" in humankind, and that each person's biological gender is an intrinsic, immutable aspect of his or her nature and identity.

We believe the Bible teaches that God established and defined marriage in the beginning as a lifelong, exclusive relationship between one man and one woman.

We believe in the Church of Jesus Christ, founded on the Day of Pentecost, consisting of all Christians everywhere, and organized into local assemblies, called churches.

We believe the Bible teaches that every Christian should be an active member of a local church.

We believe the Bible instructs church members to:
  • Meet together regularly for fellowship, worship, teaching, and the Lord's Supper.
  • Use our natural abilities and spiritual gifts to serve one another.
  • Love one another, bear with one another, accept one another, and forgive one another.
  • Seek unity, agreement, and peace with one another.
  • Bear one another's burdens and pray for one another.
  • Spur one another to love and good deeds.
  • Submit to the authority of the pastor/elders of the church.
  • Support the church through financial giving.
  • Pursue personal holiness and obedience to God's Word.
  • Strive together to make disciples and fulfill the Great Commission.

External Advisory Board

Our External Advisory Board is made up of people with a track record of godliness and experience in leading healthy churches. This team exists to provide guidance, encouragement, and endorsement of the King's Church leadership.
